About ICDT:
The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade is a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, dedicated to promoting and enhancing trade and investment among OIC Member States. Headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, ICDT works to facilitate intra-OIC trade by providing business intelligence, organizing exhibitions and forums, and offering advisory and technical services to support exports and trade flows.

Mission:
To stimulate, facilitate, and strengthen trade and investment within OIC Member States, contributing to sustainable economic growth and deeper integration among member countries.

Objectives:

  • Encourage regular trade exchanges within the OIC region.
  • Promote investments to enhance trade flows.
  • Provide trade information and market intelligence.
  • Assist member states in trade promotion and international negotiations.
  • Support OIC enterprises and economic operators.

Core Areas of Action:

  • Trade Promotion: Organizing fairs, exhibitions, business missions, and investment forums to promote products, services, and partnerships.
  • Business Intelligence: Providing trade databases, market studies, and sectoral research; assisting in establishing trade information networks.
  • Partnership Development: Facilitating B2B connections, supporting export promotion centers, and fostering intra-OIC cooperation.
  • Investment Promotion: Attracting foreign investments, stimulating intra-OIC investments, and supporting co-investment initiatives.
  • Capacity Building: Conducting training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance trade and investment capabilities.
  • Trade Negotiations: Assisting member states in trade transactions and intra-OIC negotiations.
