World Exhibition Day 2026: “Exhibitions Drive Opportunities”

Cairo – June 3, 2026: The Arab Union for International Exhibitions & Conferences (AUIEC) marked World Exhibition Day, observed annually on June 3, on the sidelines of Africa Food Manufacturing – FI 2026, reaffirming the growing role of the exhibitions and conferences industry as a strategic driver of economic growth, investment attraction, trade development, innovation, and international cooperation.

The Union emphasized that exhibitions have evolved far beyond traditional platforms for displaying products and services. Today, they represent dynamic economic ecosystems that create opportunities for businesses, institutions, and economies, enabling companies to access new markets, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and technology, fostering innovation and sustainability, and creating valuable opportunities for networking, partnerships, and business development. The Arab region, the Union noted, possesses significant potential to strengthen its position as a regional and international hub for the exhibitions and conferences industry through continued investment in exhibition infrastructure, digital transformation, advanced technologies, and human capital development.

The Arab Union for International Exhibitions & Conferences further highlighted that every exhibition held in an Arab country represents a new opportunity to connect markets, stimulate investment, promote local industries, and create new channels for trade and economic cooperation. This underscores the importance of coordinated efforts among governments, institutions, the private sector, and industry stakeholders to build a more competitive Arab exhibitions sector capable of attracting major international events and strengthening the region’s position on the global exhibitions and conferences map.

Exhibitions Drive Opportunities — and Opportunities Drive Growth.
